“I’m not in this world to live up to your expectations and you’re not in this world to live up to mine.”
– Bruce Lee
Peer pressure is very common problem these days; I even think that it has always been a big problem. So, what is it exactly? It is an influence a peer group that encourages others to change their attitude, for example. There are of course some tips how to resist peer pressure.
First of all, use your brain and listen to your heart. If you do not want to do something but someone tries to force you to do it, just say no. Do not be afraid of that. You should know your personal limits. If you do, you will feel more confident in your actions and it will be easier for you to stand up to somebody.
Secondly, surround yourself with the right people. The world is full of fake people, so it is good to choose friends carefully. Do not buddy with someone who does not accept your beliefs, hobbies or actions. It does not make sense. If your friends share your opinions, you will reduce the amount of peer pressure you may experience.
It is also important to talk it through with someone you trust. Especially with your parents but it may also be your teacher or just a friend. It is not good to be withdrawn and keep your problems yourself. So, by talking with someone about your problems, you may receive from them some helpful advice, as they probably have experience with peer pressure too.
To sum up, peer pressure is not a good thing but there is always way out of every problem. In this case, just stay true to yourself, think twice before you do something and it will be all good.
“Confidence is knowing who you are and not changing it a bit because of someone’s version of your reality is not their reality.”
― Shannon L. Alder

When I write somethng, especially when I plan to create something motivating, I’m all in. I do it for you, to change your minds and help you live your lives to the fullest. I don’t want to post here unfinished and poor texts. Also, if you’d like to help me, please share this article and my entire blog with your friends, family and everyone you know!
