Thought No. 11 | Listen to your heart

“Follow your heart. Life is too short to be sidetracked by the things everyone else wants you to do.”

If you want to be successful, you have to listen to your heart. It’s very important. Only your heart knows what’s really good for you and what decisions you should make. Of course, it’s also good to use  your brain, but really, not in every case. I realized that few days ago.

I mean, if you really want something, just go for it. No matter what it is, no matter how ‘stupid’ may it seems – go for it. I know that it is hard sometimes, but at least try, okay?

You must’ve had those moments in your life when you was about to do something but you gave up at the last minute because someone said “no, you shouldn’t do that, it’s stupid and you won’t make it” or “I’d planned the same and it didn’t work out”. Am I right? So you believed in those words and you gave up despite deep down inside of you, you knew you should’ve tried and you were able to achieve your goal. Worst thing you could’ve doneYou want something, you go for it. It’s that simple. The fact that your friend failed on something doesn’t mean that you’ll fail, too.

“Don’t follow a trend. Follow your heart.”

The point is you should always follow your heart and intuition, no matter what you do or what you want to do, otherwise you will never be successful and truly satisfied. Usually it requires a lot of courage but sometimes we have to face our fears and just risk. You’ll never know if you don’t try.

Thought No. 10 | I need less free time

For real, I need less free time and more activities. It’s not like I don’t like weekends or holiday breaks, I love them but I don’t like it when I’m stitting at home for the whole day or even two and doing nothing but thinking and getting bored. In my case, it is connected with too many thoughts and worries. It’s killing me.

So, having too much free time is not a good thing, at least for me. That’s why I like going to school, for example. Every day is scheduled. I know what to do, when I have to do it and for how long. I feel so much better when I’ve got every day planned and I hate when I have to change my plans. It really makes me sick and can ruin my mood.

And as I said in the beginning, too many thoughts. I think this is the worst thing. When I don’t have anything to do, I’m just sitting on chair and scrolling Facebook or watching videos on YouTube. When I get tired of it, I’m just looking at the monitor (or smartphone) and thinking, about everything. What if? Why? Bruh. Thinking leads to worrying. Lately, I’ve been worrying too much, especially about my future, girlfriend and some other things. I think it’s caused by this ugly weather; I want it to be summer already.

However, going to school is not enough, afterward I still have some free time. When I was on a basketball team, I was training 3 times a week, just school and trainings. I didn’t have time for anything else, sometimes even for my friends and certainly not for thinking or worrying about stupid and not important or just not real problems.

This is one of the reasons why I get my motivation for playing basketball back. I also attend the gym again. It helps a lot. A few hours of school, then about 2 hours of lifting weights and of course studying at home for another hour or two. The day I don’t go to the gym I just sleep after coming back home. On weekends, I usually spend time with my bae. See? No time for bad vibes and senseless worries.

What about you? Do you have the same or similar problem as me? Then try to do what I did. Try jogging, reading books or just watching movies. Find something that will keep you away from the reality for some time, it will help you. Trust me.

Thought No. 9 | Money or satisfaction?

“Work isn’t to make money, you work to justify life”

I haven’t posted anything for a while. Sorry for that. I couldn’t find any good topic to write about. I just don’t like doing something, you know, only because I have to do it. You feel me? Now I feel that urge to write something, because I need some help and maybe I can help someone else at the same time.

I’m during my first year in high school. Since summer – maybe early spring  – I don’t know what I want to do in my life. 9 months ago it was all about basketball. I wanted to be a professional basketball player and make money by doing something I love. I believed I could make it and I WILL.

Something went wrong and all my plans and dreams died. I’ve lost hope and purpose. Now, about than half a year later I feel better and everything seems to be ok again, but I still miss something. I’ll finish high school in two years and then what? I will have to choose studies, and get a job after that. But what job? What kind of studies?

Shall I choose money or satisfaction?

By money, I mean choosing studies which theoretically should provide me getting a well-paid job, like medicine, IT or law. On the other hand, satisfaction means choosing that school where I’ll learn about something I really like and I’m interested in. I’m pretty sure that you were or you are in the same situation.

Money is important, no doubt, but actually not the most important. I’m not sure if I’d like to, for example, be a dentist and earn few, even a dozen or so thousand  polish złotych per month, seriously. I just don’t want to live like that because I know that I won’t be truly happy, even with a lot of money but without satisfaction and happiness coming out of doing my job.

I think I’ve answered to all my doubts. School does not have to define your life, your future and value. I just want to be happy in life, do what I love, be with someone I love and reach my dreams (at least try to). I always used to say that we can derive happiness and make money through anything we do in life if we do it with passion and dedication.

I don’t really know if this article makes any sense but I wanted to write something like that. Well, I wanted to share My Thoughts on this blog, so here it is. I feel much better now. I should stop worrying about the future and just live my life and my dreams, do whatever makes me happy, not matter what. There must be more people with the same problem as mine; I hope that this text will help somebody.

Thought No. 8 | I want to explore the world

Our planet is so big and full of many beautiful, unique and interesting places. There are more than people, 7 continents including about 200 different countries.

And 1 life.

1 life means possibly not enough time to visit every place in the world. But it doesn’t have to be the truth. I won’t let it be.

I’m a very curious person; I like to learn about other countries, about their culture and people. It’s so interesting and amazing how different may be living in the USA to living somewhere in Afrietiopia-ludzieca or Asia, for example. Completely different habits, behaviors and everything. Of course, we all can see it in the TV or in the internet by pictures, videos or read texts, but it’s not the same.

I don’t want to just see it or just read about it, I want to feel it. So this is one of my life goals, to travel all around the world. I’d like to visit as many countries and continents as it’s possible. I believe I’ll do it someday, somehow. I don’t really care how I will do it, it doesn’t really matter. I just want to make it. Because that’s what life is about, about having and accomplishing dreams.

Places which I’d like to visit the most are Los Angeles, Boston, New York, Texas – USA at all. I love this country, these countrysides. United States are full of beautiful places like Grand Canyon of the Colorado, Yellowstone National Park, Mount Rushmore or even Venice Beach in LA. I’d kill to see these places with my own eyes.

Another country is Spain. I love Spanish. Beautiful language, easy to learn. What I love about Spain is that very interesting culture, that’s how people are open to everybody, the way they live. I like that they are easygoing and they enjoy every moment of their lives. It’s beautiful. We should learn from them.

Of course there are more places on my list. More and less exotic, unusual. I believe that one day I’ll visit them all. Anything is possible.

When people think about travelling, they often see a full board accommodation in a hotel, even with a swimming pool or spa. It’s usually an expensive way and people abandon the idea of travelling because they assume that they can’t afford it. What’s the point in spending the whole money on an exclusive hotel when then you won’t be able to buy any souvenirs or pay for some attractions? That’s stupid.

It’s very easy to find a cheap, clean and comfy room. I think that when you go on a holidays, all you need is bed, bathroom, kitchenette and of course good weather. You can even sleep in your car if you have one. You travel, because you want to experience something new, not to sit in your room and watch TV all day, am I right?

Then you don’t need a lot of money to do it. All you need is a plan, willingness and courage (these things will help you not only with travelling, but with reaching your every goal). The vision of being even thousand miles away from home, friends and family may be really scary, but in life we have to overcome fear all the time.

For me it is also scary. But this is what I’m going to do, I’m going to face that fear, fear of the unknown and beat it. I’ve got only 1 life, just like you. And I’m going to live it to the fullest, do you?

Thought No. 7 | Journey

I don’t know how to name this article to be honest, but it’s about 9 AM while I’m writing this sentence. Im heading to the train station where my girlfriend is propably already waiting for me. 100 kilometers ahead of us. For what? Shopping & fun.

I woke up so early, it was about 5 am when my first alarm clock went off. I hate it. Waking up that early should be illegal.

I think it’s worth it this time tho…

9:04 PM

… and it clearly was, 9 pm and we’re going back  home, the same road, another 100 km. I’m tired as hell, haven’t felt like that since a very long time but I’d do it again. We had a great time and we experienced things like tasty food, even tastier drinks (green tea with mango and kiwi, damn) and we saw the entire Wrocław from the top of the fifty-storey skyscraper.

Such a big city was like an anthill, full of people as ants. Stunning view, one of the best in my life. That was awesome, the best part of the day I think.

1:15 AM

It was an amazing day at all. For sure, it was something different, but in a good way. We enjoyed the whole trip. We need to do more crazy and fun things like that. Great method to “escape” from the daily life and all problems. I think I needed something like that, I feel way better now, even tho I’m so tired and my legs hurt so much (we’ve been walking for like 12 hours). I don’t know what more can I write, I don’t even have enough energy to write more, I just wanted to share it with you guys, so I’m gonna finish it here. Bed awaits…

Thought No. 6 | What brings me happiness?

This article will be different to my previous two. If you’re looking for some motivation, you should check this, this and that. I’m not sure that you’ll find it here. This text is kinda about me, it’s a kind of reflexion about life or something like that.

It’s about happiness.

Happiness is everywhere. Seriously, think about it. You can derive pleasure from so many things. It may be your hobby, your job or even your family and lovers. Simple, day-to-day things that we have at our fingertips. You don’t need expensive items to be happy, you just have to look at everything that sourrunds you in a kinda different way. I would like to show you what brings me happiness.

I’ve been interested in basketball since almost 4 years. I’ve even been on a basketball team (it’s a material for another article though) and I’ve won some awards. There was the time when I used to play the basketball everyday, in all weathers, no matter how tired I was or if I was injured. Well, it’s my passion and I love it. I just need a 5 minutes of playing to change my mood. It makes me so happy. It’s like, I’m in a totally different world when I’m playing this game. No stress, no problems. Just happiness and satisfaction.

My favorite cookies and the shish kebab are one of the things which are able to make me the happiest guy in the world in one moment. I’m not kidding. Buying or making for me something to eat is the easiest way to win my heart.

Smiling woman

I like making people smile and laugh. Especially when it comes to someone who I love. This is such a amazing feeling when I see a smile on the face of my beloved and I know that it’s beacause of me. There is nothing better than that, seriously. If she smiles, I smile. If she’s happy, I’m happy too. She is my main reason for happiness. (And, by the way, we all should smile and laugh more to always be in a good mood.)

I love shoes. It’s the most important part of the outfit for me. The newest Jordans, Yeezy Boosts or Nikes, damn. If I were rich, I’d have a special room which would be full of them. Buying shoes and even just looking over websites with sneakers gives me a lot of pleasure. I don’t actually need to buy anything, I just enjoy watching them.

I was inspired to write this text by Simple Starne’s article, check this out!

So, as you can see, happiness is everywhere. We all need to have something that makes us happy, no matter what it is. You can write down in the comments section, what brings YOU happiness, I’m very courious.
